Creating Healthier Smiles Through Education
Free, evidence-based oral health education designed to empower underserved communities through prevention, early detection, and improved access to care.
Our Mission
Advancing Oral Health Equity Through Community Education
The Smile Project advances oral health equity by delivering evidence-based oral health education directly into community settings, in partnership with established organizations.
Our work focuses on improving oral health literacy, promoting disease prevention, and expanding access to culturally responsive oral health education.
Why Oral Health Matters
Prevention
Many oral diseases can be prevented or identified earlier through education, healthy habits, and appropriate preventive care.
Oral & Overall Health
Oral health is an important part of overall health, with connections to conditions and life stages including diabetes, cardiovascular health, pregnancy, and healthy aging.
Access & Education
Clear, accessible health information can help individuals understand their oral health, available resources, and when to seek professional care.
